If the above method did not work in your case, it is likely that someone trying to play a prank on you has switched on Grayscale Filters on your iPhone. Once you toggle OFF Grayscale, the display on your iPhone will immediately switch back to familiar color mode that you are so used to seeing on your iPhone.
